The Fells Benefit Auction at The Fells
Under the tent in the beautiful Rose Terrace, this is an important fund raiser to benefit the gardens and grounds of The Fells. Begin with passed hors d'oeurves, libations and a silent auction at 5pm, followed by Emery Sanders on the auction block from 6:30 to 8:00pm. Dessert and ballroom dancing to the lively music of the Granite State Stompers wind up the evening.

New London Barn Playhouse presents “CATS” T. S. Eliot’s poetic jellicle cats sing and dance their way through the Jellicle Ball, where Old Deuteronomy chooses one cat to be reborn to a different jellicle life. Vermont Jazz Ensemble
Seventeen piece jazz band playing wonderful music from the 30s and 40s. The Vermont Jazz Ensemble has been dedicated to bringing Vermont and New England the finest in Big Band concert and dance sounds since 1976. 33rd Annual Apple Pie Craft Fair
Annual Apple Pie Craft Fair, a fund raiser for the Library Arts Center, 9 am – 4 pm, rain or shine on the Newport Town Common. Featuring 100 craft booths, food vendors, chicken BBQ by the Newport Firemen’s Assoc., and an apple pie contest with judging at 11 am. Pies are then sold by the slice. 8/25
